Divesting from Celebrity in Our Political System

This episode was inspired by a series of tweets from Dr. Alex Hamilton that I happened to come across when an Instagram account I follow reposted it.

We really have to make an honest effort not to let the celebrity status of politicians (or the baseless views of celebrities) impact our ability to take ownership of the political process and elect the best person for any elected position. This isn't the Prom King or Prom Queen we're voting for these days. We are electing people who will determine the trajectory of our country from now until its end. Do we want to do that because of how cool their walk was?
