Too many people fail to see the importance of discussing money with their children and understanding money themselves. It is not anything but a tool that provides options.
While I'm no financial advisor (nor a parent), I do have some common sense and some suggestions on how to view money, the correlation between money and time, as well ways you can teach children about best practices.
